kdc boosters

Kelley’s Dance Craze is fortunate to have wonderful, dedicated parents who help and support the KDC Competition Team. This group of parents volunteer their time and efforts to promote a positive and supportive environment for team members, staff, and families. 

PURPOSE:

• The KDC Boosters organized in 2018 exclusively to support the KDC Competition Team dancers, staff, and families at Kelley’s Dance Craze.

• The KDC Boosters are responsible for conducting fundraising activities to provide financial support to the KDC Competition Team dancers during the competition season. 

• In addition, the boosters provide support by organizing team meals, competition day set up team/family area, banquets, and more. 

MEMBERSHIP:

The KDC Boosters is a parent-led group for all families whose child(ren) have auditioned for, and made the KDC Competition Team. An annual membership fee is paid at the beginning of each season which covers operational expenses, voting rights, and more for the current competition season. The KDC Boosters are governed by an Executive Board encompassing a President, Vice President of Fundraising, Vice President of Membership, Treasurer, and Secretary. This organization operates as a non-profit tax-exempt organization in accordance with Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and will comply with all requirements. 

MEETINGS:

• The annual meeting occurs at the KDC Competition Team meeting at the beginning of September each year. The purpose of this meeting is to introduce the Executive Board, yearly budget, and planned fundraising for the year. 

• General membership meetings are held once per year in the Spring. The purpose of this meeting is to get ready for the recital, banquet, and/or nationals.

• The KDC Booster Board meets once a month to review financials, fundraising, and upcoming events.
