All students are required to wear the appropriate dress code and dance shoes for each class they attend and the annual Recital. Having a studio dress code is essential to helping our dancers to focus in class, and allows the teachers to see the dancer's lines more clearly.
We've selected specific shoes for each style of dance that are supportive, look nice in performances, make the correct sounds/bend the proper way, and match with our costumes. *PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE DANCE SHOES AT PLACES OTHER THAN DANCE STORES- although places like Target, Wal-Mart, Meijer etc. sell them, they are not good quality dance shoes. If you are ordering online, please know that most dance shoes are not the same size as your child's street shoe (some are bigger, some are smaller). It is best to have them fitted in person at a reputable dance store.
**Dancers who do not follow the dress code will not be able to participate in class. ***They will be given a warning the first time, and asked to sit out any time thereafter.
